"Why is Facebook and social media important to our society" social means the activity of meeting people who share the same interests with you,it is about the society and the way it is organized. Social media can be defined as the platform where we connect with people by the use of website or other service on the internet. Facebook is a social media platform that enable people share content,perform work functions and creat online relationships and self identities .

 Facebook is un arguably  the power house of social media platforms. It is no longer news that almost everyone in the world today have something to do with Facebook and other social media platforms for one good reason to another's. Facebook is also one of the oldest among all the social media platforms in use today, the emergence of Facebook and it's allies as a reliable means of deserminating information by people, business and organization can not be overemphasized . This noble idea and creative abilities of founders of social media and their team has contributed in making the world a global place .The Facebook owner Mr Mark Zuckerberg and his counterparts Siddique ullah of Instagram, Jan koum of WhatsApp and Jack Dorsey of Twitter assembled men and women of great ideas to provide the world with the social media of our generation to improve life, business and our society. Social media platforms enable people and businesses to quickly send and receive information at a very reasonable cost compared to what was obtainable in the past before the advent of social media.. sending and receiving information and doing business across the globe is now done without waste of time and energy. The owner of Facebook Mr Mark Zuckerberg  and the rest of the owners/founders of other social media platforms are great men of this amazing generations of ours, Mr Mark Zuckerberg and others of his kind may not have been the richest before  Facebook and other social media platforms were created, but they are able to put their skills ideas and creativity into action for the benefits of mankind and society. Mr Mark Zuckerberg and other great thinkers and business men have given us the platform to succeed in all our endeavors ,  please let us celebrate the men who by their ability both physically, mentally, financially, morally, and legally are shaping our world.
